Ruth Avidar, Ph.D., is the head of the marketing communications track in the Department of Communication and a staff member in the Department of Health Systems Management at the Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel.

Avidar earned her Ph.D. at the University of Haifa, and her Master of Arts degree in Communication and Journalism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Avidar is a former public relations practitioner, and her research has focused on online public relations, social media, customer and patient experience, dialogue and health and new technologies. Avidar is a member of the Center for Internet Research at the University of Haifa.
